Whitewater Run
The upper stretch of the Zeta, where the river is young and impatient: rapids, tight turns and a current that keeps you honest. Prior kayaking experience is required — this is the tour our guides paddle on their day off.
Guided kayak tours through the crystal-clear waters of the Zeta River. Small groups, local guides, unforgettable Montenegro.
Every river has a temperament. The Zeta has two — pick the one that matches yours.
The upper stretch of the Zeta, where the river is young and impatient: rapids, tight turns and a current that keeps you honest. Prior kayaking experience is required — this is the tour our guides paddle on their day off.
The lower Zeta slows down and turns to glass. Flat, gentle water through willow tunnels — time to swim, watch fish and let the river do the work. No experience needed; if you can sit, you can paddle.
The Zeta is Montenegro's quiet legend — a river that gave its name to a medieval state, sinks underground, and rises again greener than before.
Long before Montenegro was Montenegro, this land was called Zeta — the medieval state of the 11th to 15th century took its name from the river itself. The Zeta is also a geological trickster: at the edge of the Nikšić field it sinks into the karst underground, travels unseen, and re-emerges at the springs of Glava Zete to flow calmly through the Bjelopavlići plain — beneath the cliffs of Ostrog, past monasteries and old stone bridges — until it hands its water to the Morača.
Filtered by its underground journey, the Zeta stays cold and clear all summer. Willows and ash trees lean over emerald pools that hold brown trout and eel; kingfishers flash along the banks, grey herons stalk the shallows, and if you paddle quietly at dusk you may catch an otter crossing the river. This is a living river — we paddle it gently and leave no trace.
Stable, safe and easy to love — every kayak comes with a paddle, a life vest and a dry barrel for your things.
For two
Two paddles, one rhythm. The tandem is perfect for couples, a parent with a child, or friends who want to share the work — and the blame for zigzagging.
Solo
Your own boat, your own pace. Light and nimble — the single kayak answers every stroke and lets you feel the river directly.
Price is per kayak for a full day on the water. Hours by arrangement — we paddle from morning to evening, every day in season.
Every photo below was taken on our tours — no filters needed when the river looks like this.
